Biography

Agrima Shankar is a legally trained international law and security specialist with a distinguished record of litigation, advisory, and research across India, the UK, and the UAE. She has appeared before the Supreme Court of India, the Delhi High Court, and the Lucknow Bench of the Allahabad High Court, managing complex disputes in constitutional law, commercial and real estate litigation, intellectual property (trademarks), and competition law.

Beyond litigation, Agrima has extensive experience in international strategy, compliance, and regulatory advisory, including advising UK-based AI startups on entry into South Asia, with a focus on data governance, migration, and geopolitical risk. Her expertise lies at the intersection of international law and global relations, with particular emphasis on how Global South legal systems interact with dominant international frameworks

Agrima holds an MA in International Relations (Distinction) from the University of Manchester, where her research focused on human rights, global governance, and postcolonial international law, and a BA LLB (Hons.) from Nirma University. She has authored policy briefings on refugee protection, nationality frameworks, and humanitarian law, and has presented at leading academic conferences on borders, securitisation, and legal identity.
